Trying to download upgrade to desktop so I can install on
laptop. I have replaced the hard drive and the disk only
has SP1. Blaster patch requires SP2 and I got the worm on
my desktop while trying to get the patch. Is there a way
to download onto one machine and run on another at home?

These may help.

The link wants to download the 120MB download - I am
looking for the single user express download of roughly
15MB?

Jag - as Dave P says in this thread you have 2 basic choices:

1) the network download. This is a ~15MB package that initiates the
over-the-net download and install of the files you need to update to
SP2. Not sure that 15MB download is really portable to another sys since
I've never done it, but an ongoing net connection is necessary to
complete the full installation.

2) the full SP2 download. This is a ~114MB executable. It is fully
portable to any machine. It contains all necessary SP2 files. The SP3
and SP4 files are bigger (128MB, 133MB respectively).

I believe you can also order any full SP executable on CD from MS, for a
nominal fee (cost of mailing). Up to you. This option is noted at the
download website.

I did the 140MB download over a 56k dialup, by letting it run for a Very
Long Time, over 24 hrs IIRC. It is a very handy file to have on hand for
subsequent use.
