I have a CISCO PIX 506E packet firewall, wich i use to manage port security for the network and one Windows 2000 Server Profesional Edition with Windows Media Services active, but i have problems when i restrict the pool of ports for this program; on Knowledge Base says that i must enable UseInternetPorts and configure the InternetPorts range of the RPC Service, then i restart my server but i still have trouble for my clients to connect me when i setup the same pool on my packet firewall, web support fro Win2kServer is not an option now. Can some one help me with this?

Thx

I have not configured that service myself but the links below may help you. There are also MS newsgroups for windowsmedia - at least on the Microsoft newsgroup servers [news.microsoft.com]. When troubleshooting firewall problems it often helps to check the firewall logs for dropped traffic from legitimate IP addresses. --- Steve
