Win 2K + Exchange 5.5 - get error 'server needs to be part of a domain'

I have Windows 2000 Advanced server. I am trying to
install Exchange 5.5 from my old Back Office disks.
I run the setup and it says that its not compatible with
this version of windows. The knowledgebase says just
click the 'run anyways' button and it will install.
The next part says that my server must be apart of a
domain. Well it is apart of an NT4 domain. Everything is
talking between the two. I looked this error up in the
knowledgebase and it says if I get this error I need to
create a domain or join one. The server IS apart of
one!!! GRRR

Help?
 
Hi there

If you log in using the local administrator account, you will get this
error. Log in using a domain administrator account and the error will
disappear.
