I installed 8GB RAM into a Windows Server 2003, the BOIS recognized the
whole RAM correctly, but the Windows Server 2003 only recognize 3.89GB
(Control Panel - System). Is there some kind of configuration on Windows
Server 2003 in order to recognize all RAM installed? (in this case 8GB).
Thanks

Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition can only address 4GB of RAM
Are you using Standard or Enterprise Edition ?

Which version of Windows 2003 server? Standard - if so - yep - you bought
it without reading up:

BTW - it looks like you used a working address to post. Expect the spam

Anyway why would you need 8 gb of RAM???

Kamal,

There are lots of reasons you would want more memory, SQL Server for one.
