I have AD setup on my win 2003 server with 2 Win XP clients. Everything is
fine except I can't access the clients from each other. I have drives
shared, but can't access each client from windows explorer. This was never a
problem in win 2000.

Where can I look for settings to allow each client to access each others
hard drives? I'm logging into each client with admin privleges.

thanks

What error are you getting? this can be any number of things...Is it
not resolving the machine names? Is it connecting and getting an error
denied? Is it that you can connect to the machines but not see any
resources?

in windows explorer, when clicking each machine from network places, it just
says permissions not allowed. i never get chance to do anything.

Scott,

I would suggest that you make use of the server. Create the appropriate
folders on the server, apply the appropriate Share and NTFS permissions and
away you go. I know that this does not directly answer your question but is
something to consider.

Now, to your problem. There is something called 'simple sharing' in WINXP.
I have seen this cause a problem a couple of times. I might suggest that
you turn this off and go to each shared folder and manually set up the
permissions that apply to your situation. I do not remember what the
default permissions are when using 'simple sharing' so this might not apply.

HTH,

Cary
