My server is taking 15-20 minutes while booting .

After 10-15 minutes it proceeds to nex screen.
I have updated both the lan drivers after the problem has
occured.
Another problem is that FRS(FILE REPLICATION SERVICE)IS
FAILING .
IN net share NETLOGON & SYVOL is not appearing .

MY NETWORK CONSISTS OF 3 WINDOWS-2000 SERVER including
this one. & 1 no. of WIN-NT 4.0 SERVER.
BASIC ROLE OF THIS SERVER IS AS MAIL SERVER (LOTUS NOTES)
CONFIG:-
ACER ALTOS G700 SERVER.
INTEL XEON @1.8GHZ/1GB RAM/3*HS 18GB SCSIHDD/
WITH 2NOS OF LAN CARD.
I.BROADCOM GIGAYTE CARD
II.INTEL PRO/100S SERVER ETHERNET CARD.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME REDUCE THE BOOTING TIME & IN FRS
SERVICE TO START.

THANKS TO ALL IN ADVANCE.
DEBASIS.

Hi

This may help

File Replication Service needs to be reset.

Check the following key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\services\NtFrs\Parameters\Backup
/Restore\Process at Startup\BurFlags = 0xd2(REG_DWORD)

Set Burflags to 0xd4 on the PDC and 0xd2 on the other DC and this should
take care of the problem.
