win 2000 sharing printer with vista

I have a network with win2000 and shared printer .My machine with Vista can
not see my network.

How do I set up access from the vista machine to the 2000 machine and
from the the 2000 machine to the vista machine?

Make sure ALL computers have the same workgroup name

In vista Network and Sharing,
Turn on Network discovery
Network private
file sharing on, etc

Can you ping the win2000 by IP? If yes, can you ping it by name?
