each time to update win 2000 service pack 4, keep getting
error " problems downloading ". i have disabled both
firewall and anti virus program. what is the problem?

Try downloading the network install instead of the express install. That
will download a single large file that you then run to install SP4.

That's one VERY LARGE file. If you don't have a high speed connection, you
should ask a friend who does to download it for you and burn it onto a
CD-ROM.
