I just installed win 2000 server standard on a server. The server when it
reboots goes to a point that says
Press f1 key to continue
Press f9 key for rom-based Setup utility
Press f10 key for system partition utilities
Press f12 key for pxe boot

How do I get it to bypass this prompt. I do not want to hit f1 everytime it
reboots.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

You need to check your settings in your ROM BIOS setup. Generally when you
get the "Press F1 to continue" prompt, there is some problem with the
configuration.

Any idea where I can find info on how to fix this? I'm searching MS site
but no luck.

Thanks

That depends on the maker of the system. The F10 makes me think its a compaq
server. I wonder if you ran the Server Configuration Utility to update the
NVRAM config. If there is no EISA partition (system partition), boot from a
smart start CD. If you dont have that, you need to buy one from HPaq. Should
run under $30 shipped.

Press F10, run the Config Utility... let it do what its going to do, Save
the settings, reboot and see if it still happens. That shouldnt be happening
to begin with, so its likely a server config issue, and MS isnt going to
have any information on vendor specific hardware configurations (by and
large).
