Hi,
Sorry for hitting the XP group with this, but the W2000 is pretty much
stagnant.
I'm using W2000 sp4 on about 8 year old hardware and things are going
great. However, I'm trying to hook up a SATA hard drive as an external
usb 2.0 slave and it appears I'm short a driver for SATA recognition.
I've read around a few places and stumbled into a "universal driver"
which may, or may not be what I'm in need of. It's referred to as
UniATA. Might any of you have any experience with this driver set?
http://alter.org.ua/soft/win/uni_ata/
Am I going about this all wrong and should be coming at this from a
different direction. Is there perhaps something somewhere already built
in that'll help w2000 find the drive?
The SATA drive doesn't show anywhere in windows, device manager, disc
management, BIOS etc. Partition Magic as well as Ghost don't see it either.
Thanks!
