On my Win 2000, sp4, computer I can see some of the
computers on the network, but only half. there is only one
workgroup. I'v deleted the network card and replaced it,
deleted TCP/IP and re booted and reinstalled it. still no
connection. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem is not with your computer, but probably with the browse list. It can take
an hour or so sometimes for the browse list to be fully populated. Only computers
that have file and print sharing and netbios over tcp/ip enabled will show on the
browse list and that assumes they were not configured to be hidden with the net
config server command. It is also possible that the browse master may be changing
roles often as evidenced by a lot of browser elections on the network. --- Steve
