Hi all,

Does Windows 2000 support IDE ATA disk
capacities of 256 Go ?

If so, how to get that suppoort ?

My motherboard is an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
and I'm using its onboard IDE sockets.

Yes.

Basically use the appropriate service pack and enable 48 bit LBA.

Without SP2 it will happily use it but likely trash your data
at some point.

and the "enabling" operation.

One more question:
What is the earliest edition of "Partition Magic that can manipulate
such a 256Go disk adequately. Hopefully v6 ?
