I too happen to feel that some older versions of software run better than
current versions- that have become so bloated and slow with all the usless
features added into them. There have also been things put in for
"incompatibility messages" that scare users into thinking that their
software must be upgraded.
I have plenty of Windows 3.1 software that still runs on an XP platform, is
stable and does not need to be upgraded simply because some software vendor
wants more revenue to keep up with MS's revenue streams.
Would you also tell someone driving a 1964 Mustang convertible its time to
buy a more up-to-date automobile?
Software should be backwards compatible as far as practical.
