I am trying to support a number of users still using windows 2000 and I need
to be able to connect to them remotely and support their systems remotely.
I was looking for a second option other than trying to teach them how to use
netmeeting.

Does windows messenger work on windows 2000 SP4> I think yes but pls.
correct me if I am wrong.

Secondly, can they request remote assistance from me on a w2ksp4 setup.

Finally, I run XP, will I be able to do it or wil this dictate that they
need to gradualy upgrade to XP

Greetings,

Windows Messenger 5.x will work on Win2k -but- Remote Assistance functionality is limited to
XP users only.

Thank you Johnathan. I apreciate your answering my question. I have one
other. How am I supposed to support my users of w2k. Do they need to have
terminal services installed on their machine in order for me to log in via
the internet? Do I simply have to buy multiple copies of pcanywhere? etc.

thank you in advance

Thanks for your help Johnathan. I think I have my questions answered now and
I know which direction to go in.
