I just purchased an external USB HDD, 160 GB and very nice.

But I have been thinking. I have both desktop and laptop PCs. Can I hook
the HDD to a USB hub and then hook the USB to BOTH the desktop and laptop
and the same time??? I haven't done it, not wanting to cook my new toy.
But can it be done?

If so I can quickly and easily share data between the two PCs by using the
HDD.

TIA

No, as I've yet to see a US´B hub with two INPUTS (the smaller USB-B
connector)....

Network the PCs and share the drive on whatever computer it's connected to.

Linksys has a special "hub" where you can connect the USB drive onto the
network directly and then share it.
