I've been missioned with reorganizing our Windows 200 server AD into
multiple OUs so that we can start applying group specific GPOs based on the
OU. Currently the domain has one OU and one (Default) GPO.
My first thought is to create OUs and move computers into them based on the
organization I envision (Domain Users, Administrators, Servers, for
example).
Then proceed to create GPO's and apply them to each OU over time.
My question is whether creating an OU and moving a computer into it will
have any effect on the current users' functionality? I'm assuming that the
default GPO will be applied to all OUs by "default" until further changes
are made. Am I correct in "assuming this??
