AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad Core CPU
16GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM
500GB Hard Drive Storage Space
ATI Radeon HD 6670 2GB Graphics Card
High Performance Motherboard
DVD-RW +/-
Stylish Midi Tower Gaming Case & 450W PSU

Will these be able to play games at around 30fps with decent graphics?:
mw3
mw2
Cod4
CounterStrike
TF2
L4D2/1

Probably.

Specs are too vague. Just what is 'High Performance Motherboard'? That's just a supplier's blurb.

PSU Is probably too small and of unknown make.

Hard drive, if you're a gamer, is too small.

Overall, poor spec but yes, it should play the games you list, albeit MW3 may have to be run at low res.

Multiplayer or single player it still uses the same graphics card ;)

Does that person live a long distance from you?

If yes then don't buy. If anything goes wrong you will probably be responsible to pay return postage if not included with purchase :(

Read the small print :D

there a big company, and I've heard there trusted.

1 year warrenty is all i know.

Not really enough surety to be splashing out almost a monkey on is it?

My advice: Forget this supplier, try another supplier. Not completely top dog but Novatech wouldn't be a bad place to start to get a reference.

And with that, young Anthony is now going to retire, fare thee well for the next 6 or 7 hours or so :)

Base unit for £500 should have an Intel i5-2500k or i5-3570k. These processors will see you through years of gaming with simple graphics card upgrades. AMD are way behind Intel now, so forget AMD at the moment.

As for graphics card, Nvidia are only slightly in the lead, but AMD are close. You ideally want a 6870 or GTX 560.

If your buying a PC for gaming just do it right 1st time else it can become very expensive try to polish a turd.

500 quid

But it does include Windows 7 and it doesn't give motherboard or PSU details.

You'll get more for your money buying a machine without an OS but the above link is just to give an idea.

Could you put a machine together from parts yourself?

If you could put it together yourself here's an example, this is from E-Buyer with free delivery within 5 working days. If you wanted the same spec but with an i5 3.3Ghz processor the cost would rise to £545.

I think i'll go with the Novatech Life NTI05 :p

Is the GeForce 620 any good?

The Geforce 620 is £45, the GTX560 is £135. You do the math :p

The Novatech is a good machine and a fair price and will suit your needs but don't expect to run recent graphic-intensive games on it at high res. The parts I've specced for a build will walk all over the Novatech but you get what you pay for.

What you don't get with putting your own machine together is the cost of labour.

Novatech are flexible though, try finding out what that machine would cost with a 560 in it.

For gaming, nope!

The GeForce GT 620 (OEM) is an entry-level GPU. It's still based on the 'Fermi GF119' architecture and therefore just a renamed GeForce GT 520 with exactly the same specs and so the performance is exactly the same. nVidia do a lot of 're-badging'
