I have XP Home installed and have about 6 days left to activate. Will a
Pro/Corp upgrade fix this or will I still have to activate?
Thanks.

No you NEED to activate. The whole idea is to purchase the software legally
then there is no reason to NOT activate it.

Yeah. All the other moral high-grounders need not reply. The original answer
stands.

If you do not activate your current Windows XP Home installation,
you'll find that Windows XP Pro will not install at all. So the answer
is no, upgrading to XP Pro will not "kill the activation" requirement
of XP Home. Activating your XP Home installation is a prerequisite
before upgrading to XP Pro can be accomplished.
