Will not run scan

Try the following:
Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove
programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click
next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance
Wizard) select Update Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

I tried this but it did not help me. Last night the

schedule scan came up and found some spyware and when I
clicked to remove it the screen went back to the blank blue
and white one.
 
I have the same problem (MSAS Beta), install finished, run
the program, pop-up box, disappears after a few seconds. I
did the thing with control panel, change, update, etc. as
you describe below, but after that the program still won't
run.
The program will run however in safe mode, but it seems
unlikely that you always have to do it this way?

Still having problem.... the schedule scan runs fine but I
cannot run the scan by myself.
