SCSI Drives using 2940UW. every attempt to install
including installing SCSI adapter drivers results in
reboot and message "error loading operating system".

What could possibly be wrong?

You'll need to boot the Windows 2000 setup disks or CD-Rom and *F6* very
early and very important (at setup is inspecting your system) in the setup
to prevent drive controller detection, and select S to specify additional
drivers. Then later you'll be prompted to insert the Windows 2000 driver for
your SCSI controller in drive "A"

If you wait and then S to specify additional drivers, then it may be too
late as Windows 2000 Setup at this point may have already assigned the
resources your drive's controller is wanting to use.

You may want to check in scsi controller bios that the correct ID is set as
a boot device.

And make sure the scsi bus is terminated on both ends.

Thanks Dave, but I hit the F6 key as soon as the Question
is asked if I have other adapters to install. In fact it
did ask for the driver diskette, which I complied. What
now??

and that the bios is set to boot from scsi
