Interesting. Shortcut is generally speaking an invalid
link, unless they are purposely disguising it. There are
good programmers that purposely disguise the links to
hide them from you. Why? I don't know, but perhaps to
help prevent hackers, or something. Anyway, if the link
really is just a "shortcut" then it may in fact be doing
exactly what it should be doing - nothing. I'd check
another site and see if it happens everywhere.
For instance, on this site, if I hover over "contact us"
in the lower left corner, it says in my status
bar "
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
pr=cntactms" This lets me know where my link is heading,
and that link then appears in the Address box when I
click on it.
Shortcut isn't a link. It could be java and something
hidden, but that makes it FAR more difficult to
troubleshoot. You may in fact need to contact their
site. But try other sites to see if you have the same
problem, because if you do (strange as that may be) there
may be something else we need to look at.
Make sense?
