Will not boot up

Apostolic Truth

Have gateway computer with WindowsXP.............
It will not boot up. On start up, get the Windowsxp logo and then the
screen goes black.......

Please help.

Yesterday it worked, today it doesn't, Windows is like that!
 
Try Last Known Good Configuration. Restart the computer and repeatedly press
the F8 key until you see the Bootmenu that has Safe Mode and a number of
other options listed. Select Last Known Good Configuration as see if that
will boot you to the Desktop. If not reboot to the Bootmenu and select Safe
Mode. See if you can boot to the Safe Mode Desktop then run System Restore.
It is found at Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore.
