I put The Disk In The Drive And it says the program is not a valid win32
program. It also said something about "hal.dl" not being installed. Do You
need any programs to run vista?

Sounds like you are trying to install Vista 64bit within XP 32bit. It can't
be done. You have to do 32bit XP to Vista 32bit or 64bit XP to 64bit Vista.
You may want to read up in detail about what this beta involves. Not being
informed may hurt you in the future.

You would get that first message if you were trying to install the x64
version of Vista from within XP.

If you have a 64 bit capable cpu, then you would have to install by booting
from the DVD.

If your cpu is 32 bit, then you would need to download the x86 (32 bit)
version of Vista.

Thanks
