hi
I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post these sort of
questions.
I’d like to start learning ASP.NET, but I’m not sure whether I should
learn MVC or Web forms. I know it’s always a gamble with these things,
but I don’t wanna invest all my energy and time into learning some
piece of technology, only to find out that it’s been 'replaced' with
something else.
In any case, I’d like your opinion on the following questions:
a) What do you think the future holds for each? Will MVC slowly ( or
quickly ) replace Web forms?
b) And even if MVC won’t completely replace Web forms, will the latter
only be used/preferred in rare or very specific cases?
c) If you think MVC will gain momentum and become the tool of choice
in most cases, when do you think we’ll see that happening? In one
years time, sooner or perhaps much later?
thank you
