Will Movie Maker capture clips to separate files?

Will Movie Maker automatically capture clips into
different separate files during one capture session? I
know that it will break the movie into clips for editing
after capture, but I would like to have the clips saved
as separte files without having to edit the movie into
clips or try to start and stop the camera during the
capture.

No, and not only will you have to start and stop the capturing, you'll have
to 'Finish' the capture before the actual file is created. And then start
another.
