Will IE6 be upgraded ?

I find that some microsoft sites don't work unless I downgrade to IE,
so I'm wondering if IE will ever be upgraded to block popups
automatically, have tabbed browsing, and have a convenient cookie
manager (like, I admit, Mozilla) ?

I phrase this pessimistically because I read a rumor that Microsoft
has stopped development on IE, or at least stopped development on IE
for released versions of Windows; I'd love to find that this is not
true.

No.

I just love one word answers. Shows the character of the
writer. As you see here, the writer is unable to expound
on the thought that he had. Certainly, he took the time
to reply, but didn't have the time to say WHAT he was
saying NO to.

Is MS going to quit development on IE?
Is MS going to add tabbed browsing?

Now, we may never know because the king has spoken.

Certainly, this is a lot less of an answer than a chance
to be rude.

Is someone's feelings hurt because tabbed browsing is
such a boon to those who choose their browsers?

Hmmm... is MS afraid to add the feature because they
might be seen as "jumping on the bandwagon?"

Of course, I might be wrong... MS might be planning to
add these features during their ongoing development. I
just don't know....

....because the answer "no" just wasn't sufficient enough.
