Will ICS slow down browsing vs. current wireless connections

Hi,

I have an existing Win 98 laptop and just purchased a new
Win XP laptop.

Both are connected to the internet with DSL access
through Linksys wireless cards and a Linksys Wireless
Access Point Router.

I would like to set up a home network, but was concerned
that connection speed might be SLOWED DOWN if data has to
pass through to Win XP ICS Host to get to the Win 98
laptop . . . rather that through the current direct
wireless connection to the access point.

Does this happen, and does the data even travel in this
manner? Or would each machine still connect directly to
the access point?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't see any reason for you to use ICS. You already have a home
network set up using the router. The computers can access the
Internet and network with each other through the router. Why change
anything?

In any case, I don't think that connection speed would be any
different using ICS vs. the router.
