Will I miss out?

Next weekend, I will be out of town. If the Vista beta *does* release on
that Saturday (27th), will I still be able to get the beta when I come home
on Monday the 29th? Thanks.

I'm going to have my mom try to get it for me that Saturday (if it actually
comes out then) because she will be staying home. Will it be
self-explanatory to get? Will you have to logon? (Using the passport like
I had to to sign up for the beta.) Will there be a product key that you
will have to get? Thanks.

I honestly don't know, just that it will be available on the Microsoft
Public site. I am sure acquiring it will be pretty much similar to
downloading a trial of Windows Server 2003 or XP Professional x64 today,
just that it will have extra prominance.

It will, of course, Require a Product Key, I would think that it should be
very similar to the Windows XP X64 Edition Free Trial (Download will most
likely be Free of Charge, where as, a DVD Shipment by mail will most likely
cost money).

good grief. Of course you'll still be able to get it. In fact, you'll
probably stand a better chance of downloading after a day or two when people
stop going nuts than you will on the release day itself.

I won't even think of trying for a day or two myself.

I'm always surprised at "professionals" who STILL have to be asked "Have you
checked (event viewer / syslog)".
