Will CPP's Get The RTM?

In your local store, yes. There's been no offer or mention of a free copy of
RTM for cpp members. According to some sources, you should be able to
download a time-bombed copy of RTM in December to try it out before
purchasing.

From what I have heard, most of the Beta Tester's in the Private Beta Did
Not get a Free Copy of RTM, the reason why Andre Da Costa has RTM is most
likely because he works for ActiveWin.com, Just FYI.

Hey Kevin,

Get your facts straight. MS is still working on the details for TechBeta. So
please don't post false information.

I am staying off RTM until it hits MSDN, since it has leaked, people are
pointing fingers at me and ActiveWin as the culprits of the recent leak. I
just would like say, we are not, it was give to us legally and officially.

I'm in the CPP and I signed up to it knowing and understanding that MSFT
didn't make any promises regarding getting free copies of anything

So I don't expect anything, I agree MSDN subscribers should get a free copy
after all their membership fees are so high they could probably buy 4 coptes
of the full retail version.

However if the CPP aren't getting free copies, then I definately think the
techbeta shouldn't be getting free copies either seeing the CPP members have
probably made a far greater contribution than the techbeta, maybe not in the
way of sending bug reports but just by the massive amount of crash data
which was recieved from all the CPP participants

Absolutely Yes.
Very easy as well.
Once Vista is available for sale, go and purchase the version that best fits
your needs.

Or if you are asking for a free copy, probably not.
In the past the CPP participants have not gotten the product.
Some Technical Beta participants have gotten free product in the past.

But for both groups nothing was promised and nothing should be expected.
Anyone expecting more than nothing is probably in it for the wrong reason.

Andre, I Was Not Trying to Point Fingers at Anyone for the Recent Leak, Just
FYI.
I was merely trying to make a point that so far not even The Private Beta has
Received a Free Copy of Windows Vista, although Tom says that may change
in the Future.

Hi, Andre.
Speaking of MSDN, I halfway expected to find the RTM in the downloads after
the Friday "service outage". Do you have any thoughts on when it might
appear in MSDN?

Thanks.

Thanks for all of the info folks. I wasn't expecting anything free, but I did
hope that we would get a look at the RTM (with the timebomb included of
course) what with all of the feedback that many of us provided.

Oh well....I'm not going to sit and bitch about it. I've seen enough of
Vista (running b.5744 now) to state that I will definitely purchase it when
it's available.

Thanks again
