Will Bob run in Vista?

It probably will work in Vista, but who would want to use it?

On a side note, for those nostalgic for the look of BOB but with updated
graphics, though still hardly more useful, go to
http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=3041&LibID=31

You need the DesktopX program to run it, but it gives a good fascimile
of the BOB interface.

Although come to think of it, I'm now curious whether it'll run in Windows Vista...

Cheers, Roman

Very nice :)

but..... The message about canceling the meeting does follow the vista style
guide with the correct use of English.

Eg,
Pre Vista style
Title : Are you sure
Text : Cancel the meeting
Option : Yes No

New vista way
Title: Meeting
Text : If you do xyz your abc will 123
Option : Cancel Interview, Stick with it

Note the Vista and Bob way, we have VERBS on the buttons.
You sometimes the consequence of an action as well as the button, look
around vista you will see for yourself.

Isn't Bob 16-bit? If so, it'll only run on 32-bit Windows Vista.

Hehe ... Text and Tone:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...ry/en-us/UxGuide/UXGuide/Text/TextAndTone.asp
Voice
Use the active voice, which emphasizes the person or thing doing the action. It is more direct and personal than the passive voice,
which can be confusing or sound formal.

Acceptable:
Icons can be arranged by name in alphabetical order.
When a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or laptop is plugged in .

Better:
You can arrange icons in alphabetical order by the icon name.
When you plug in any Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or laptop .

Don 't invent words or apply new meanings to standard words. Assume that users are more familiar with a word 's established meaning
than with a special meaning given it by the tech industry. When an industry term is required, provide an in-context definition.
Avoid jargon, but remember that some expressions specific to computer usage -hacker, burn a CD, etc. -are already part of everyday
speech.

Incorrect:
You can use folders to bucketize your favorites.

Correct:
You can use folders to categorize your favorites.

Servus, Roman

P.S. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bucketize
Word has no meaning, however it is used by asshat Nortel managers in an attempt to sound knowledgable.
I want to align the PFN on usage of the Clarify Patch/MR class field (in the Patch/MR Tab) to help bucketize/prioritize the daily
WOH.
