The OS looks great and has a good feel to it. My hubby and I both liked it,
but since we have an AMD Athalon 3000+ processor, we are unable to view any
DVD's, iether on the media player or in media center. Everything I've found
here tells me that this was fixed in RC2, but we can't download it-- missed
the boat on that one. Will look forward to the final product when it comes
to the market.

Hi,

No reason that processor would hurt your ability to watch DVD's. Generally,
it is a codec file that is the problem, but it could also be a lack of a
supporting video driver.

I never bothered trying to view a DVD in Beta 2 or RC1, but since you
brought it up, I decided to give it a try in RC2.

It worked just fine in Windows Media Player.

It didn't work well at all in Media Center (the program itself "jittered").

Neither is important to me anyway. I prefer WinDVD.

Oh and I have an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ CPU, 2GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce
6800 GT Video Card w/256 MB RAM.

I'm running Vista RC2 x64
