Will 266 ram run in a 133 system?

Hi,

I have a compaq evo n600c notebook with 2 x 256 ram. The crucial
configurator says I need 133mhz sodims.

Can I buy 2 x 512 266mhz (much cheaper) and everything work ok?

No, 266 Mhz RAM will not work because it is DDR.

No you cannot. Your older notebook uses 133 MHz SDRAM sticks. The 266 MHz
RAM sticks you mentioned are DDR type RAM, and will not work in your system.
