Hi Neil Try running a scan in safe mode and see if it
deletes it
Ive just downloaded this Wildmedia overpro to see what
files need removing,You may not find all this as the MS
Antispy might of removed some
Try it this way
open task manager (control,alt & delete)
check for
blaster_blocks_demo.exe
fixit.exe
end process if found :
Unregister the .dll
Go to start>all programs> Accessories > Command Prompt
Copy & paste the first line in and press enter then copy
and past the second line in and press enter again
cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32 /u "c:\windows\wildapp.dll"
Then close the command prompt
By opening the wildapp.dll file and the wildapp.inf file
using notepad i can see other file names and a CLSID for
this
clsid\{ff65677a-8977-48ca-916a-dff81b037df3}
95dde570-872c-4489-945f-a77ff7b337f1
minigolf_affiliate.exe
blaster_blocks_demo.exe
fixit.exe
wildapp.dll
wildapp.inf
On mine these have saved on the cdrive under program
files and the folder is called WildArcade, the
wildapp.dll and minigolf_affiliate files are in the
Windows folder
If the unregistering of the dll worked above then reboot
into safe mode(tapping F8 on reboot) and search for the
above filenames and delete any found,also delete the
WildArcade folder in program files
Open regedit
Goto start>run and type
Regedit
When it opens go to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\
Press the + next to it and find
clsid\
Press the + again and look for this entry delete if found
{ff65677a-8977-48ca-916a-dff81b037df3}
{95dde570-872c-4489-945f-a77ff7b337f1}
Then the same with this start of at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
and keep pressing the + untill you get in the units
folder
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\code store
database\distribution units\
Look for this entry and delete if found
{ff65677a-8977-48ca-916a-dff81b037df3}
You may need to enable hidden files & folders to find the
filenames.Go to start>search then tools in the top bar
then folder options and to view.
Check the box that says show hidden files and folders
also uncheck the box below this that says hide extentions
for known types and press apply
Ive just run a scan on mine with spy sweeper.It was
detecting Wildmedia before but after doing the above my
scan shows clear so hopefully this will clear it for
you.Ms Antispy may of removed most of it but left a reg
entry in place,double check and let me know if you are
still having problems with this after doing the above
Regards Andy
