hey all,
I haven't really read much about WI-FI technology, but what's the big
difference between developing a pocket pc application using WI-FI technology
and a pocket pc application using web services?

cheers

You should read something about Wi-Fi then. They have nothing to do with
each other...

Wi-Fi, also known as IEEE 802.11b, allows the PDA to have a LAN
connection, without wires. Using it, the PDA can access the web, giving
it access to the web services...

thanks for the answer, really appreciate it! =)
so am i right to say that if i am building a web service pocket pc
application in which it is using a Wi-Fi LAN to connect to the server, i
don't have to know anything on how Wi-Fi packets are decoded or anything
along that line?

thanks again in advance =)

cheers

That's correct. I'm amazed at the number of people who think there's
something "special" about WiFi. It's no different than plugging in an
Ethernet cable from the application perspective. TCP/IP is TCP/IP, no
matter how it's delivered.
