I am created a small presentation with animations on each
page. As I am working on it I try to preview the page by
clicking on the slideshow button at the bottom of my
screen. When I do that it seems to always go back to the
very first page of the show and I have to watch the whole
thing before I can view just the page I want. In all my
other presentations when I click on that icon, it starts
with the page I am on. What am I doing wrong?

Though it isn't a solution to your problem, when a presentation is running,
you can get to any slide in the presentation by pressing the number of the
slide you want to see and then press the Enter key.

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? Is the icon you are clicking a
little black and white icon of a movie screen?

Check your "set up show" screen under slide show in the
toolbar. If you are not at "all" slides, it is likely
taking you to the first number in the "from" section. See
if this works.

Yes, that is the icon I am clicking. I am using PP 2000on
windows 98. My other presentations seem to work fine as
far as that is concerned. I have never encountered this
problem before.

thanks for your help
