I had to reformat my hd a while ago. I did save all my "downloaded
freeware" programs and was able to re copy them to my newly formatted disk.

Unfortunately, I have downloaded so much "stuff" I am unable to retrieve a
specific freebie I really liked. It was very simple. On launching it, one
went directly to one's email server, reviewed the mail and deleted it, or
read it, at ones' choice. It's shortcut icon was yellow rectangular (?) and
I am referring to eprompter which I gather is the current favorite among the
sophisticates in this group...The "proggie" I am referring to had fewer
functions than eprompter in that I don't believe one had any options othen
going directly to the server and dealing wit hteh email there or not.

clear as mud, isn't it?

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help.

I use PPMailcheck that places a small yellow envelope in the system tray, could
that be the one?
