Playing mpegs in any media player on my machine (winplayer, nero,
winamp) gives me a washed out image with overly intense colors
underneath the white-ish fog. Anyone have any ideas about a fix?
Thanks!

I've made several post requesting help with this same problem. I've replace everything except the
backspace key. I don't think mine is a driver issue, as have updated and or replaced all I could.
It's in WMP 9. Only it screws up the colors. QuickTime and Real play the same mpg's and avi's fine.
Only solution I've found was to reduce WMP's video acceleration to the halfway mark, with the
resulting loss of quality.........but at least now I can view them. If I reduce the acceleration on
the video adapter, it has no effect.......only WMP's acceleration!!!!!!!!

And to make it more maddening, I found 2 avi's (but no mpg's) that it will play with full
acceleration.

What I would give for a solution other than the generic "replace the drivers" answer. How would one
search for and replace video codecs and dll's?
