Hi,

What is the difference between a Widget & a Gadget ?

Is there one ?

Usually just the term used by the software that allows you to run the widget
or gadget. I believe Yahoo's sidebar thingy calls them widgets (you can
look it up if you really care - I don't!), Google's sidebar/desktop thingy
calls them "Google Gadgets", and the Windows Sidebar in Vista calls them
gadgets.

You need to get outside and find something fun to do. ;-)

Its basically the same thing, but one company calls them widgets and another
gadgets

We have MAC OSX
StarDock has its own thing called desktopX
Google Desktop sidebar
vista sidebar
Yahoo widgets
Linux has its own gadgets

and then there are some that plug into browsers (like opera) or iGoogle

The only problem with all these is that they are not compatible with each
other..

you cannot use a gadget from Google desktop on windows vista sidebar for
example
