I just bought a Sceptre X20G Naga III widescreen monitor. I have an IBM
T42p Thinkpad with an ATI Mobility Fire GL T2 128 graphics card. The
Thinkpad is connected to a minidock, which has both DVI and VGA ports, as
does the monitor. When I try to change resolutions, I'm stuck with three
choices: 800 x 600, 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024, I can't get any other
choices, i.e., the 16:9 widescreen formats. I think the native resolution
of the monitor is 1600 x 1050 or something like that. It's my work unit,
and I'm at home, so I can't remember the exact resolution. I've tried
hooking up both cables (separately), but no difference. Sceptre's website
has a .inf file for the driver, but the Naga III isn't a choice, just the
Naga II. I can't imagine the monitor driver is the problem, but maybe.
Does anyone have any guidance on this issue?
Thanks, Steve
