Hi,

How do you play 4:3 aspect ratio games on a widescreen monitor?
On nVidia cards, there's an option to scale the image, so you get black bars
on the sides of the screen and the image becomes square.
There's no such option in CCC...

I wrote ATI but never got a response.

There is supposed to be a similar option in the CCC but it is harder to
setup than Nvidia drivers.

CCC gives you that option if you use DVI. However, it's a moot point because
virtually all WS monitors offer options to expand the image or to preserve
the original aspect ratio.

I use LG L226WA DVI and there's no such option in the monitor's menu.
There's an option in CCC to Use centered timing, to get black bars around
the image at lower resolution,
but it doesn't work.

My GF7600GT would stretch the screen for me when I start Starcraft...
The look is acceptable.

Sorry, maybe it's the monitor (Philips 220WS8) that does it.

Whn I was searching for a 22" LCD just lasy month there were only about
3 22" widescreens that had 1:1 in hardware. The Samsung 226BW I bought
doesn't have it and nor do most as you claim.
