Wich IP Adress to connect Smartphone via the cradle.

Hi all,
I have to write a little client/server program using socket
communication between my laptop and my smartphone (2003, so in c#).

1) I have no internet connection, I am not in a LAN, and so no IP
adress on my laptop, how could I connect my smartphone to my laptop
using the cradle, wich IP or hostname ?

2) With Orange GPRS connection, on wich port can we listen on the
smartphone, all ?

1) Try "ppp_peer".

2) I don't know for sure, but I believe you can listen on just about all
ports.
