WIC Installer Error

Hi,

dotnetfx3.exe setup fails please help. I included dd_dotnetfx3error.txt &
dd_WIC.txt logs below.
I am logged in as user in 'domain admins' group and Cryptographic service is
running on this computer.

Hello Joshua,

From the log information, the component RGB Rast failed first, would you
please also post this component's log file:

dd_rgb_retMSI*.txt

Also, here is an good article about troubleshooting such an issue, you may
follow the steps in it first and then install dotnetfx3.exe again, will
this fixed it?

Thanks for your reply. I was able to install Visual Studio 2005 then the
..net 3.0 installed without errors.

Another WIC problem

guys,

when i install .net framework 3.5 i encounter the following message from the log:

[09/11/08,10:22:58] WIC Installer: [2] Error code 1603 for this component means "Fatal error during installation.
"
[09/11/08,10:22:58] WIC Installer: [2] Setup Failed on component WIC Installer
[09/11/08,10:23:11] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates WIC Installer is not installed.

i believe the same error has been posted on the net for a number of times but i can't seem to find a fix.
