I have a Linksys wireless card and router. I've installed the driver for
the card and Vista sees the network but the only way I can connect to it is
to make it open. With WPA active it will ask for the key which i put in but
it still won't connect. It works fine in XP but I haven't got it to work in
Vista. The settings I've found have all been set to the same ones as XP but
I maybe missing something. I've set it to a static IP and put in the gatway
and DNS server but I haven't found anyway to config. the card for the
network. One other thing I've noticed is there isn't a way I've seen to save
the key and have it connect automatically like it does in XP.

I have the very same problem just with different hardware. So far i can't
find any solution to it, i have also tried a different wireless card with the
same results. Vista also occasionally claims that my wireless card isn't
capable of connecting to my router. It will also only work when WPA is
removed and the connection is open. Would love a solution to this as it is my
only problem with Vista.
I have a dual boot with Vista and XP, just wondering if this could be a
possable cause with reguards to associating the same wireless card to the
same router with a diffferent OS.

I use WPA with TKIP and dual boot xp / vista and seem to heav exactly the
same problem :(.

All okay in XP but just won't talk WPA in Vista, if I reset to unsecured it
works fine but with WPA it keeps on saying I have the wrong key! . I know the
key is correct as it is fine with XP
