I'm trying to connect to pc with a Wireless connection. Both XP
Professional sp1. On desktop I have a WiFi Card connected to a USB port. On
Notebook I have a Centrino with Wireless Card on board. Connection AdHoc. On
both Xp I have a firewall (I also tryed to disable it). IP Address
10.10.10.10 and 10.10.10.11.
I create the wireless connection on Desktop and I shuold like to see it from
Notebook. The signal power in desktop is "very low". The notebook at a
distance of about 1 meter is not able to see the Wireless Network. I tried
also to seteup the wireless network without any crypto.
If I connect the computers by ethernet card every thing is ok.
Can any one help me?

TIA

Hi alberto,
You can try these tips and check if that
works fine..(black ICE or Zone alarm) completely uninstall them from
Add/Remove programs...Coz disabling them, doesnt work as
it still scans in the background..the comp..then try changing the channel depending on the
distance and the wireless interfernce..range..And then try to ping the other comp and vice-
versa...enabling 64bit encryption(Manual Hex Keys)
And make sure you have the latest drivers for both the
wireless adapters on your comp...

All the best..
vineeth Nair..
