Why?

I have Windows XP as part of a bundle that came with my eMachines T1115. Not sure why this happens or how to stop it from happening but every time Windows XP loads, it opens my C:/Documents folder. I attempted to delete the folder to stop it but then it tries to open something else like Adobe Acrobat. I'm at wits end and have tried adjusting PIFs and Folder Options and looking up Start Program information to no avail. Can anyone help
