Open a new window like my computer or my documents, press
alt; the menu list at the top of the window is
highlighted and the fist letter of each option is
underlined like F in File, E in Edit and so on but in
Favourites a is underlined instead of F. Why? Is there
any reason behind this?

Hi Rizwan,

If both File and Favorites used "F", then it would get mighty confusing as
to which you were selecting when you hit alt+f (after all, those underlined
letters are to indicate what alt+ combination to use to access that menu).

.

They are called keyboard shortcuts. The F is used for
file so it can't be used favorites too...so they use the
next available letter in the word...in the case of
Favorites it is "a". Hold the alt key and tap the letter
on the keyboard and the menu item is selected
