Why would MS IIs/5.1 be running on my XP?

Hi,

I am trying install Wampserver on my XP Pro to try some php stuff but
when checking Port 80 it tells me it is being used by MS IIs/5.1.

Why would this be as I do not do any server stuff on this.

Can I just disable in Add/Remove MS stuff?

Yes you can disable it from Msconfig /all. You might have installed Visual
Studio or Visual Web Developer Express Edition.

For php testing I would recommend to you: XAMPP because it comes with
everything you need including MySql, apache, Perl and Php.
