Why won't windows remember my name and password?

Hi, Why is it that newsgroups will not remember my name and password when I
want to sign in? The button is checked. All of my other programs "save" it
when prompted but this one will not. Isn't this kind of ironic? I was
hoping an "MVP" could answer this.

Alex, you wrote that you went and took all of the available updates, which
updates....for the AVG or some in Vista?
