As you don't mention the version of Windows you are using, I'll have to take
a guess. Try the following and see if it helps:
Blank - Empty - White Pages
IE6 opens blank/empty/seethrough windows or have to refresh to see contents

Go to Start>Run> and register the following dll's by using
regsvr32 command. Try the first 2, then see if it resolves the problem. If
not then register the rest of the .dll's:

regsvr32 msxml.dll?
regsvr32 mshtml.dll?

First, update to the latest version of Acrobat Reader. Installing the Adobe
Reader should set it as the default for .pdf
To set the default for PDF files:
Go to Windows Explorer, find a PDF file and right click on it
Select the Open with
When the list of file types opens, scroll to the Acrobat Reader and click it
Then click ok and close out

IE browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files.
You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then
opening it.
Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box nect to "Display PDF
in browser"

Also check any 3rd party programs you have installed and disable them to
find which one may be blocking it. Also... check your firewall and AV to
make sure nothing there is blocking it.
