I’m having a similar problem. After designing an Outlook Form I’m asked to
publish. I do. I set the properties in my Outlook Folder to “When posting
to this folder use: â€. However, I cannot see my form.
I fear this is supposed to be done in a workflow on an Exchange Server.
Yes/No?
First I re-designed a “message†form and “published†it, not to a library,
but a personal mail folder. When I tried to set the folders property I
received a “cannot create an item of this typeâ€. So I designed a “Post†form
and it did set in the folders properties but I cannot see the form when I
open an item. I did get my message form into the “outbox†and opened the
mail item in my “message formâ€.
Are the OlDefaultForders special (I mean DUH!), but in this instance?
How do you plan to use this form? Message forms are designed to be sent, not
saved, which is why you can't make a message form the default for a folder.
If you published the form to the Personal Forms library, you can launch it
with the Tools | Forms | Choose Form command. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/launchform.htm for other techniques.
I was once an amateur, too, you know.
I didn't understand the question about olDefaultFolders.
